Helitec Recently completed major Terrace waterproofing and restoration works to this freestanding terrace.

Project Duration February 2024 – April 2024

Issues – Unfortunately, the owners of this beautiful property had chronic damp issues throughout their two gable walls.

There were also minor structural issues with cracking throughout.

These issues resulted in delaminated plaster, flaking paint, cracks in walls and mould.

Solution – Fortunately Helitec Structural has extensive experience, passion and care in restoring Heritage buildings.

Through experience, research and case studies we can specify and perform the correct scope of work to complete the Terrace waterproofing.

With the use of products such as Helifix masonry strengthening, Emeclad Co-polymer membranes and Heritage mortars all applied with the correct methodology and equipment Helitec Structural managed to eradicate all moisture from the gable walls, stabilise the walls, waterproof the terrace and make good all the internal walls.

The results are absolutely incredible.

Lastly, access on this project was a challenge in itself, however, Helitec Structural are trained in rope access and own our scaffold so fortunately for the owners we were able to keep the overhead costs low to make the project affordable.
