Helitec has recently completed a structural steel beam repair in Cremorne, Sydneys lower North Shore.

The residential client reached out to Helitec Structural in Mid July. They had the idea to create a widened garage opening, essentially turning two single openings into a double.

Helitec assisted in engaging a suitable structural engineer. The engineer detailed the Structural Steel and additional Helifix masonry pins for the project.

The work commenced within 4 weeks of the initial enquiry. We began by back propping the above concrete slab and proceeded to remove the existing lintels and middle beams. These turned out to be old Balmoral Tram tracks!

Once the opening was created we hoisted the Structural steel beam in using our specialised equipment.

The new 200UC and 150UC’s were welded onsite, the beams were dry packed and the opening made good. The site was then handed over to the Garage Door Installer.
